How to Combine Many Images into One PDF
Photographing twenty pages and needing one PDF is the most common document task there is. The trick is not the conversion — it is the order, the page size and the file size.
Prepare the images first
- Rename them with numbers in the order you want: 01, 02, 03. Sorting by name then works everywhere.
- Check each one is the right way up. Rotating afterwards in the PDF is possible but slower.
- Delete the duplicates and the blurred shots before converting, not after.
Convert
- Open JPG to PDF and add every image at once.
- Choose A4 if the result will be printed or filed; choose "fit to image" for receipts and screenshots.
- Set quality around 85% — visually identical to the original and roughly a third of the size.
- Convert, then check page one and the last page.
Keeping the size sane
Twenty phone photos are 60-100 MB. Cap the long edge at about 2000 pixels, use 85% JPEG quality, and the same document lands near 10 MB — small enough to email and still sharp on any screen.
If it is still too large, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.
Privacy
Phone photos carry GPS coordinates and timestamps. Re-encoding through a browser-based converter on your own device avoids handing an unknown server a folder of personal images.
